Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS) is a Single Molecule Detection (SMD) technique used to determine diffusion, flow, concentrations and molecular weights in cells and samples. Parallelisation of this technique requires research into single photon detection, computation and illumination. Integrating this research with Time Resolved Imaging will lead to faster and more flexible techniques for cell analysis and High Throughput Screening (HTS).
