3D imaging allows us to interact with electronic devices in completely new ways. In recent years, 3D cameras – akin to RADAR with light – have been miniaturised. However, these offer limited performance and require costly external data processing. Research within the group continues the theme of integration, but explores new architectures whereby each pixel is able to directly measure distance, eliminating the external processing.
